Religious garb a freedom?
Q. How come Madonna and other female entertainers could get away with wearing nothing for the sake of sexual freedom and religious women cannot be fully covered for religious freedom? Doesn't anyone think that both are demeaning to women but are only the opposites of each extreme?
Asked by "T" - Fri Aug 14 12:09:04 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Absolutely. Which is why I'm glad I don't live in France. However, there is a slight question in my mind (and I think perhaps many people's minds) about how "free" some of the covered women are to NOT be covered if they wanted. How much is the covering being forced upon women by fathers, husbands and clerics? If it is truly a free choice made by free women, I have no problem.
