A. 2 things you could do with it: A) Stitch up the sides, like you see girls that wear a tank under it and then cute and tie together the side of the shirt. B) Tie it in the back and put pins, clips, ribbon, etc. on the sleeves. I've done both with shirts bought too big for me, because i'm the same way. It's gotta be fitted :)

What type of white shirt to wear under a v neck sweater?
Q. I am 5'8 and about 146lbs or so and small fits better than medium. My sweaters are the V neck sweaters from banana republic that have argyles. I just bought a white shirt in small from Armani Exchange... its those tight ones but still fits good. It is also not a dress shirt like those banana republic ones. What is the preferred white shirt under V-necks though? Is it a dress shirt or a casual shirt? Because if you just wore the shirt alone, people can tell if its a casual or dress. But I like to wear it under a V-neck sweater almost always. So would Banana Republic white dress shirt be the best option or would an Armani Exchange casual white dress shirt be better under a V-neck sweater? I am asking this b/c i see the models… [cont.]

A. anything really, a button up, with a 3/4 sleeve, or long sleeve; A crew neck T. I really love banana republic and have most of their styles of sweaters. Any colors go with the banana republic argyles they have alot of colors in them. White will really set it off, with a blue tie if you got the navy sweater, but I would go with a brighter tie if you got the brown one. It really does NOT matter what type of shirt you wear under it, it could be a casual or a dress shirt, the colors just have to go together. You could wear the dress shirt with the top button undone and wear a tie a bit loose, no tie, but you can also wear the casual shirt undone in a cool color, either way it will look good. What shoe and shirt color to match dark brown velvet coat?
Q. What shoe and shirt color should I match with a dark brown velvet sport coat? I'll be wearing jeans (it's casual). I have heard that the coat and the shoes must match, but the only brown shoes I have are a lighter color than the coat. I have black shoes as well. Regarding the shirt, there's a brown shirt I like but I don't know if it's acceptable to use it with a brown coat (they are both dark). Maybe it is better to use a lighter shirt? Thanks!

A. I think your brown shoes are decent. I wouldn't wear brown with black ever. As for your shirt, I'd avoid the brown shirt because a brown jacket with a brown shirt and brown shoes is lacking in... variety. I don't know if you're a boy or girl... if you're a girl you can go with something lighter and softer like a light pink shirt. Boys and girls can wear a dark green olive shirt or a red (any shade) shirt. If you don't like or don't have colorful clothes you can just stick with a basic white shirt. good luck!

What kind of casual shirt to wear with blazer?
Q. I have custom made dress shirts with french cuffs that are monogrammed. Would it look inappropriate to wear one of these shirts (like a light blue) tucked into nice jeans with a nice belt and wear a blazer over it? This will be for out of work, so I want the look to be somewhat casual. Perhaps if I wear more whimsical cuff links rather than professional looking ones? Also, is there ever a reason to wear a shirt (other than a T shirt) untucked when wearing with a blazer?

The functional purpose of turned cuffs is to protect the material from fraying...Cuffs may be made by turning back the material, or a separate band of material may be sewn on or worn separately attached by buttons or studs. What is a good price to sell to shirt designs to a company?
Q. My friend has some t shirt designs that she wants to sell. After approaching a company she was offered 65p per t shirt sold if they print them, or they will buy the t shirts off her for 3.00 each if she prints them. How can I tell whether a gents shirt is designed to be worn tucked in or not?
Q. I enjoy wearing shirts casually, outside of a pair of jeans, but often make the mistake of buying shirts that were intended to be worn formally; tucked in to suit trousers. When this sort of shirt is worn outside of a pair of jeans, it often looks wrong; too baggy at the bottom and with long 'tails'. A. Wash it in cold or warm water on anything except heavy duty. It's really not the washer that is ruining your shirt. It's the dryer. If you want your design to last you longer, try hang drying or drying on a lower heat. Try and wash the shirt with light/white clothes to avoid discoloring.

How to remove a stain from a white shirt?
Q. I was ironing a white T-shirt and accidently ironed over the waxy pattern (Brown) and now I have stained the shirt from ironing the pattern. A. I would very carefully put a brown paper bag over it and then iron it for just a sec or 2 and then pick it straight up so as not to smear again. If it picked some up move to a clean spot on the bag and repeat. If it didn't pick up any maybe you didn't leave the iron on it long enough to get the heat through the bag . Just don't leave the iron on it too long or it will set it in for good. Best wishes!
